Kundalini yoga Kundalini is a spiritual form of yoga that
combines meditation, breathwork, mantras (chanting), mudras (hand
positions) and deep relaxation, with a set of physical exercises called
kriyas. Kundalini is a full workout for your body, mind and spirit! You
will leave class feeling uplifted and rejuvenated.
Anusara Inspired Flow
Through the lens of asana (yogic postures) we will look into expanding
our understanding of action (karma), knowledge (jnana) and devotion
(bhakti). With the use of props in a variety of applications, asana
practice is made accessible to every individual. Students will
cultivate strength, flexibility, and an awareness of the inner self.
Kripalu Hatha Yoga Kripalu Yoga is described as the yoga of the heart. A form of Hatha Yoga, its focus goes beyond the physical postures to the breath, flow, inner awareness and deep relaxation. It promotes body-mind-spirit integration in a safe and nurturing way.
Gentle Kripalu Yoga
These classes move at a slower pace, and use movement awareness, postures with adaptions, slow breathing, deep relaxation and meditation to cultivate inner awareness and healing.
Hatha Flow: levels 1-2
A
combination of slow vinyasa flow and yin yoga with an emphasis on
proper alignment, building strength, marrying breath and movement, and
deep awareness. We hold poses for longer periods of time in order to
energetically purify ourselves and tune into subtler levels of
feeling... a delicious balance of challenge and rejuvenation.
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement
Lying on the floor doing gentle movement sequences, this class will perk up your curiosity about yourself and how you move. Despite aging, injuries and other physical limitations, you will improve balance, coordination, flexibility and well-being. Be prepared to explore the unique puzzle that is yourself.
Iyengar Yoga
The practice of Iyengar Yoga allows for a mental health and physical strength. The classes are vigorous, and students should expect to work hard. You will learn to re-align your body in order to improve flexibility, strength and balance. Assistance will be provided, with the use of props such as blocks, chairs, blankets, and straps, which will facilitate comfortable adjustment in each posture and allow you to work in a range of motion most suitable to your body’s needs. You will learn how each posture helps to cure and prevent common injuries that result from playing tennis, golf, running, biking, and other such common activities. You will leave the class feeling rejuvenated, and assume sensations of calm, clarity, and well-being.
