AMANDA MOUNT - My Teaching Philosophy begins with
how the practice of yoga has transformed my own life.At one time ungrounded and without strong
purpose, I discovered yoga and found a way of being that has lifted the weight
of the world off my shoulders and put the pressure aside.Being a student of yoga, I have found the
tranquility of the mat, the peace of the breath, the strength of the asanas,
and the reflection of meditation that I know will always be with me.Practicing yoga quiets my mind and calms my
soul more than anything I have ever known and quite miraculously through the practice;
faith, devotion and dedication have become welcome assistants in the practice
of life. This perspective is what I want to
share as a teacher.I would like to help
people clarify their lives through the connection of body, mind and spirit,
simply by beginning practice of yoga. I want to help my students gain a sense
of awareness in their bodies and the essence of quieting the mind.I want to share the teachings of yoga and how
these practices translate on and off the mat.This is turn will help people lead happier and healthier lives to build
stronger and more peaceful communities.
